Flavonoids for Health
How difficult can sometimes see food not as something tasty to calm the hunger, but as a complex composed of a series of chemical structures including nutrients, fiber, water and others that much or little we know.
Flavonoids are natural chemical structures of plants and fruits found in different concentrations and different health effects. Have been identified around 6000 types of flavonoids, but not all known and studied, the benefits-some of them. Humans can not produce for their benefits and we eat them. Know some of them.
In general, flavonoids are found naturally in fruits, vegetables, seeds and flowers, as well as beer, wine, chocolate, green tea, black tea and soy.
The flavonoids in black tea, wine, cocoa and green tea, have a high antioxidant being cardioprotective (ie protect the circulatory system), on the evidence, take 3 cups of black tea a day would help in preventing heart disease.
Citrus Bioflavonoids flavonoids are the most outstanding among them is quercetin, hesperidin, Naranjina and limonene. These are respon-sible for the particular color and flavor in some foods such as onions, broccoli, cherries, grapes, orange, lime and lemon.
Previous programs have commented on the isoflavones, better known as phytoestrogens found in different legumes, however, the most active from soybeans and kept in their products like tofu, soy milk etc. Isoflavones are used as I-therapy alternative to the present discomfort during menopause.
